Today, we celebrate an extraordinary milestone: Metro Credit Union's 100th anniversary.

As I reflect on the past century, and on the privilege of serving in this role for 43 of Metro's 100 years, what stands out most is not the buildings we've occupied, the products we've launched, or even the growth we've achieved. It's the people and communities we've had the honor to serve.

One hundred years ago, a group of individuals believed in a simple but powerful idea: people helping people. Since then, generations of members, families, volunteers, community partners, and leaders have carried that spirit forward. Together, they have built something far greater than a financial institution. They have built a trusted community resource dedicated to helping people achieve their goals, navigate life's challenges, and create brighter futures.

Over the years, the world has changed dramatically. Technology has transformed how we work and serve. Our communities have evolved. The financial services industry looks very different than it did in 1926. Yet through it all, one thing has remained constant: our commitment to putting members first.

That commitment is the foundation of everything we've accomplished. It has earned the trust of generations of members, strengthened the communities we serve, and shaped Metro into the organization it is today. We have celebrated milestones with our members, supported them through difficult times, invested in local neighborhoods, and worked every day to help make a meaningful difference in people's lives.

Our 100-year story is really a collection of thousands of individual stories—a first home purchased, a small business launched, a student headed to college, a family achieving financial stability, a community project brought to life. Every member, every family, and every community connection has played a role in shaping Metro's legacy. Every story matters. Every relationship has helped bring us to this moment. Inspired by the original vision of people helping people, we remain committed to empowering our members and communities to success through every stage of life.

As we celebrate our first century, I'm excited about what comes next. We are building on a strong foundation, guided by the same values that have carried us this far and inspired by the opportunities ahead.

To our members, communities, partners, and everyone who has been part of Metro's journey: thank you. Your trust, loyalty, and support have shaped Metro's first 100 years. Together, we'll continue building stronger communities and creating opportunities for generations to come.
