Metro Credit Union Named Among the Most Charitable Companies in MA
BOSTON — August 2, 2023 — Metro Credit Union, Massachusetts’ largest state-chartered credit union, has been named an honoree in the Boston Business Journal’s (BBJ) annual 2023 Corporate Citizenship Awards, a recognition of the region’s top corporate charitable contributors, for the fourth consecutive year. The BBJ publishes this list annually to showcase companies that promote and prioritize giving back to their communities. One hundred companies qualified for the distinction by reporting at least $100,000 in cash contributions to Massachusetts-based charities last year.
“Giving back to our communities is central to everything we do at Metro, and we are honored to be included in this list of local organizations that share our commitment,” said Robert Cashman, President and CEO of Metro Credit Union. “We’re proud to be recognized for our charitable contributions and community work and look forward to continuing our philanthropic efforts throughout the rest of 2023 and beyond.”
Top corporate charitable contributors from industry sectors including financial and professional services, healthcare, technology, retail, and professional sports among others, will be honored at the BBJ’s 18th Annual Corporate Citizenship Awards on Thursday, September 7, at the Seaport Hotel in Boston.
