Metro Credit Union Named Among Massachusetts' Most Charitable Companies by Boston Business Journal for Seventh Year in A Row
CHELSEA, MA – August 19, 2026 – Metro Credit Union has been recognized by the Boston Business Journal as one of Massachusetts' most charitable companies, earning a place on the publication's 2026 Corporate Citizenship Awards list.
Each year, the Boston Business Journal publishes its Corporate Citizenship list to highlight companies that prioritize philanthropy and community impact through charitable giving. This year's list includes 95 organizations that reported at least $100,000 in charitable contributions to Massachusetts-based nonprofits in 2025. This marks Metro’s seventh consecutive year on the list, reflecting the credit union’s longstanding focus on local impact.
“Supporting the communities we serve has been at the heart of Metro Credit Union’s mission for a century,” said Robert Cashman, President and CEO of Metro Credit Union. “As we celebrate our 100th anniversary, we’re honored to be recognized for our continued commitment to local nonprofit organizations that expand opportunity, strengthen our communities, and improve the lives of individuals and families across our region.”
Metro Credit Union will be recognized alongside fellow honorees at the Boston Business Journal's 21st Annual Corporate Citizenship Awards on September 16, 2026, at Big Night Live in Boston. The complete list is available on Boston Business Journal’s website.
