Six Years Strong: Metro Credit Union Again Named Among Massachusetts’ Top Charitable Companies
CHELSEA, MA — July 15, 2025 — Metro Credit Union has been named one of Massachusetts’ most charitable companies by the Boston Business Journal for the sixth consecutive year, reaffirming its deep commitment to community impact.
Each year, the Boston Business Journal recognizes companies that demonstrate a strong commitment to giving back to their communities through its Corporate Citizenship Awards. The 2025 list includes 99 companies that contributed at least $100,000 in cash donations to Massachusetts-based nonprofits in 2024. Collectively, these organizations donated more than $416 million, underscoring the vital role the business community plays in supporting local causes.
“At Metro, giving back isn’t just a value; it’s a responsibility,” said Robert Cashman, President and CEO of Metro Credit Union. “We believe that strong communities build strong futures, and we’re proud to support the organizations that make a difference every day. Being recognized for the sixth year in a row affirms our deep and ongoing commitment to the communities we serve.”
Honorees will be recognized at the Boston Business Journal’s Corporate Citizenship Awards event on Wednesday, September 10, at Big Night Live on Causeway Street in Boston. The entire list of honorees is available on the Boston Business Journal’s website.
