Metro Named Among Top Charitable Companies in MA
BOSTON — August 1, 2024 — Metro Credit Union, the largest state-chartered credit union in Massachusetts, has been named an honoree in the annual Boston Business Journal (BBJ) Corporate Citizenship Awards, a recognition of the area’s top corporate charitable contributors, for the fifth consecutive year. Ninety-six local companies qualified for the distinction in 2024 by reporting at least $100,000 in cash contributions to charities based in Massachusetts last year.
“We place high importance on giving back to the communities we serve — through the Metro Credit Union Foundation grants, monetary contributions, and time dedicated to volunteering on local boards and initiatives,” said Robert Cashman, President and CEO of Metro Credit Union. “It is an honor to be recognized for our charitable contributions and community involvement alongside so many organizations who share the same commitment.”
This year’s top corporate contributors include companies in industry sectors such as financial and professional services, health care, technology, retail, and professional sports. Honorees will be recognized at a gala event on Thursday, September 5, at the Seaport Hotel in Boston. The entire list of 2024 honorees is available here.
