Are you Ready for Same Day ACH (electronic transactions)?

Same-Day ACH changes are taking effect September 15, 2017 which may result in payments moving out of your account with increasing speed.  
What's changed?

Due to the new processing rules, all ACH (electronic transactions) will be eligible for Same-Day processing. This means that credits and debits to your account could process in a matter of hours. 

What does this mean for you? 
When authorizing a merchant or biller to debit your account, please note the merchant or biller now has the ability to collect the funds on the same day. You should always have sufficient funds in your account to cover every transaction or payment you authorize or initate. 

Examples of electronic transactions that may now clear your account within hours:

  • When shopping and paying by check, some merchants have the ability to process the check electronically.
  • When paying a bill via a company's call center or website.
  • When purchasing online.
  • When payments are set up to debit your account electronically.
