Q2 2023 | Quarterly Update
With the unofficial kickoff to summer now behind us, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the past several months and share a few updates with you.
Though the financial services industry continues to experience challenges, Metro remains a strong institution dedicated to helping our members achieve their goals. Providing you with excellent service is the driving force behind everything we do, which is why we have continued to focus our efforts this year on enhancing the member experience.
Chelsea Chatbot Gets Promoted!
If you’ve visited MetroCU.org recently, you already know Chelsea, Metro’s digital assistant. Since 2022, Chelsea has been available via chat to answer your questions, look up branch hours, share details on how to open a new account, provide current rate information, and more.
We’ve been impressed with Chelsea’s work so far, and we’re happy to share that she’s being promoted! Beginning in June, Chelsea’s capabilities will expand beyond the chat function, and she’ll be available to also answer the same types of questions via phone. But don’t worry – if she can’t answer your question, she’ll transfer you right away to a Metro employee who can help you further. We hope Chelsea’s new role will allow you to get the information you need as quickly as possible!
Coming Soon: Metro’s New Digital Branch!
In addition to Chelsea’s new gig, we’re adding more digital enhancements to the Metro member experience that will make banking with us even easier and more rewarding. Soon, you’ll be able to complete nearly any banking transaction from the comfort of your home by “visiting” Metro’s Digital Branch. You’ll have the option to speak with our agents via chat, phone, and even video – whatever is most convenient for you. We want to provide you with the best experience so if that means coming into one of our 19 physical branches, we will still be there to assist you. Stay tuned for additional information on the Digital Branch, coming soon!
Access and Control, Anytime and Anywhere.
You don’t have to wait for our Digital Branch Grand Opening – you can start taking control of your finances today! As we head into the busy summer travel season, consider downloading the Metro Card Controls app via the App Store or Google Pay so you can control your cards on the go. That’s right – while we’re always available to help, you don’t need a Metro representative to add control to your Metro debit and credit card. Within the app, you can instantly:
- Lock and unlock your card(s)
- Set and manage transaction alerts based on location, amount, transaction, or merchant type
- Set and manage controls for travel and location usage
- Set spending limits
- Modify your credit limit
- And more!
