CHELSEA, MA, January 15, 2019 – Metro Credit Union is pleased to announce the expansion of the mortgage department with the appointment of John Amentola, Mortgage Specialist. In this role, Amentola will work to assist members with mortgage needs within Metro’s branch system, allowing members to reach their personal and financial goals through homeownership.
Amentola began his career in finance at CrossCountry Mortgage where he held the position of Loan Assistant. He was previously employed by Solar City as an Energy Consultant. A resident of Wakefield, Amentola is active in his community including as a basketball coach at Wakefield High School.
Metro is a leader in residential mortgage lending, offering a wide variety of mortgage products that meet the varied needs of borrowers, including purchase mortgages, refinances, reverse mortgages and convertible mortgages. One focus is on first-time homebuyers, with ongoing Informational Seminars and multiple programs including HomeReadyTM, HomePossible® and Operation Welcome. Metro is also a participant in many government programs including FHA programs, including the MassHousing Mortgage and At Home Mortgage Program.
