​Metro’s Saritin Rizzuto Receives Myrna Vazquez Advocacy Award from Casa Myrna

Chelsea, MA (May 17, 2016) – Metro Credit Union, the largest state-chartered credit union in Massachusetts, announced that Saritin Rizzuto has been recognized by Casa Myrna with the Myrna Vazquez Advocacy Award for her steadfast efforts to support domestic violence survivors. 
Rizzuto, Assistant Vice President of Community Relations and Business Development, has served as a Casa Myrna Board member for seven years. Through a distinguished career in both the nonprofit and business sectors, she has shown extraordinary dedication to community organizing and building partnerships to support low income and minority populations.

“Saritin has been a remarkable activist and tireless champion for Casa Myrna”, said Charlene Bauer, Senior Vice President of Community Relations and Business Development.  “She is a strong advocate for the organization and has a distinguished career doing for others. Her work in the community is admirable”

Rizzuto has also been with Metro Credit Union for over nine years and is a leader in many other nonprofit and civic organizations. Along with Casa Myrna she is involved with the Immigrant Learning Center, The East Boston Social Center, The Chelsea Chamber of Commerce, Governor’s Public Education Nominating Council, Newmarket Business Association, and North Suffolk Mental Health.

Saritin received her award at Casa Myrna’s 7th Annual Community of Conscience Breakfast held at the Revere Hotel in Boston on May 17th.
