Metro Hosts Casa Myrna's 3rd Annual "Make It Your Business" Networking Reception

CHELSEA, Mass. (April 8, 2016) – 
Metro Credit Union, the largest state-chartered credit union in Massachusetts in conjunction with the Newmarket Business Association hosted the annual “Make It Your Business” networking reception on Thursday April 7, 2016 at Metro’s Massachusetts Avenue branch. This is the third year Metro has hosted and sponsored.

The event engages Boston’s business leaders to learn more about the impact of domestic violence on the workplace and community. This year, Mayor Marty Walsh gave remarks in support of Casa Myrna’s efforts. The Government Engagement Award of Excellence was presented to Mayor Marty Walsh. The Corporate Engagement Awards for Excellence were presented to Bruce Cain of Morgan Services and Betsy & Mike Kamio of Anna’s Taqueria
In addition to hosting the event, Metro Credit Union made a $1,000 corporate contribution to Casa Myrna. Robert M. Cashman, President and CEO of Metro Credit Union, was pleased to personally deliver the donation, stating “We are proud to be a community partner of Casa Myrna and once again host such a great event. This is the third straight year we can facilitate this message into the community and shine a light onto domestic violence.”

The event was spearheaded by Saritin Rizzuto, AVP, Community Relations & Business Development at Metro Credit Union. Rizzuto has served on Casa Myrna’s Board of Directors and is deeply committed to domestic violence services, education and prevention. Rizzuto is a leader in numerous nonprofit and civic organizations.
All event proceeds benefited Casa Myrna, Boston’s leading nonprofit delivering solutions to end domestic and dating violence.
