Metro Donates to Chelsea Jewish Foundation

CHELSEA, Mass. (August 4, 2016) – Metro Credit Union, the Commonwealth’s largest state-chartered credit union in Massachusetts, and its employees donated $1,000 to the Chelsea Jewish Foundation in support of the Leonard Florence Center for Living, a residence for individuals living with ALS & MS diseases.

Metro employees dressed down in support of this wonderful organization that enables its residents to live independent and fulfilling lives. Charlene Bauer, Senior Vice President commented, “Metro and our employees are honored to support an organization that is a pillar in our community and a leader in providing world class care and services to its residents. I am so proud of our employees and their participation.  We look forward to the annual Walk for Living on September 25, 2016.”

Metro’s Get Involved program encourages employees to volunteer by providing paid time off.   Dress down days are just one way Metro and its employees give back to our local communities.  Metro was originally founded on the principle of People Helping People and 90 years later, we stand by this same philosophy.
