METRO CREDIT UNION SPONSORS AND PAYS IT FORWARD DURING ANNUAL POT-OF-GOLD EVENT

CHELSEA, Mass. (November 12, 2015) – Metro Credit Union, Massachusetts’ largest state-chartered credit union, participated as sponsors in the 2015 Chelsea Chamber of Commerce ‘Pot-of-Gold’ dinner and drawing event held at Anthony’s of Malden on Wednesday, October 21, 2015. The Pot-of-Gold event is a well-attended annual event that connects businesses and Chelsea Chamber of Commerce members throughout the North Shore for an evening of networking and fundraising.
 
The Halloween-themed event is the soul fundraiser of the year for the Chelsea Chamber of Commerce and included prizes for best Halloween costume, a live auction as well as other door prizes. Metro Credit Union was one of the winners chosen during the Pot-of-Gold raffle and was awarded $2,500. 
 
“In keeping with our mission of remaining connected to our communities through volunteer efforts and direct financial support, we will be donating our winnings to Chelsea area non-profit organizations,” said Charlene Bauer, Senior Vice President of Business Development and Community Relations for Metro Credit Union.
 
The Chelsea non-profit organizations that will receive $500 each on behalf of Metro Credit Union include:

  • Chelsea Collaborative
  • Chelsea Education Foundation Inversant Program (formerly FUEL)
  • Jordan Boys and Girls Club
  • Roca
