Metro Credit Union Raises Over $2,000 and Donates Toys to the MA Coalition for the Homeless

CHELSEA, Mass. (December 17, 2015) –                                                                                                 Metro Credit Union, the Commonwealth's largest 
state-chartered credit union- donated over $2,000 to the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless in support of the Coalition’s annual Holiday Toy Drive.
 
Metro Credit Union hosts several charitable drives during the holiday season, however the donation to the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless is unique in that over $1,000 worth of new toys were donated by Metro Credit Union employee’s, which the credit union matched with a monetary donation, totaling over $2,000.
 
"We are committed to our local communities and our participation in the Coalition’s annual Holiday Toy Drive is just one of the ways Metro likes to help families during the holidays," said Charlene Bauer, Senior Vice President of Community & Business Development.
 
Families enrolled in Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless Holiday Toy Drive had an opportunity to submit a wish list of items for their individual families. Each department and branch at Metro Credit Union contributed items to the Holiday Toy Drive including dolls, soccer balls, tricycles, and action figures among other age-appropriate items.
