Metro Credit Union Hosts Maimonides Business Club

CHELSEA, Mass. (February 25, 2015) – Metro Credit Union hosted the Maimonides Business Club at the Metro Home Office on February 24, 2015. Eleventh graders from the Maimonides School in Brookline visited with Robert Cashman, CEO of Metro Credit Union and other members of the senior leadership team. The students received a foundational overview of what goes into running a credit union as well as a tour of the corporate office.
Robert Cashman, CEO of Metro Credit Union said, “I invited them here because I knew it would be a great learning experience for them. I recognize and appreciate their business drive. It’s important for young people to be financially savvy and we want to educate them and help them achieve financial goals.”
Metro is committed to financial education with a host of events, programs and seminars running throughout the year for our members. Metro has two branches at Chelsea and Peabody High Schools to teach high school students about all aspects of banking. Students also participate in the Massachusetts School Bank Association’s Banker’s Bowl annually at the Federal Reserve Bank in Boston.
