CHELSEA, Mass. (December 03, 2015) –
Metro Credit Union, the Commonwealth’s
largest state-chartered credit union donated $5,000 to the Chelsea Collaborative as part of a continued endeavor to support the Collaborative and their programs. The Chelsea Collaborative’s mission is to empower Chelsea residents and Chelsea organizations to bring about social, environmental, and economic justice in the community.

Robert M. Cashman, President and CEO of Metro Credit Union, was pleased to present this year's donation, stating, "Metro Credit Union is founded on the principal of people helping people, and we are proud of our long-term support of Chelsea and this deserving organization."

Metro Credit Union also sponsored The Chelsea Collaborative’s relocation, which was completed in 2010.  To date, Metro Credit Union has donated over $30,000 to the Chelsea Collaborative since its inception, which has enabled the Collaborative to serve an even greater number of Chelsea residents through the years.

"We are delighted to make this donation to benefit the Chelsea Collaborative and to support the citizens of our community. One of our main goals is to provide support to the communities we serve by continuing to fund programs and services that improve the lives of people in our community," Cashman added.
