Dawn Dawson and Robert Eydenberg Named 2015 Credit Union Rising Stars

Metro Credit Union, the largest state-chartered credit union in Massachusetts, announced that Dawn Dawson and Robert Eydenberg have been named Credit Union Rising Stars by the Cooperative Credit Union Association and The Warren Group. The Credit Union Rising Stars award recognized the brightest and the most vibrant young credit union employees in the region. The winners not only excel in the industry, but also have the most potential to make a mark in the future.

Dawn Dawson, VP of Mortgage Operations and Secondary Market Manager has been instrumental in elevating Metro’s mortgage operations department through training, development and encouraging maximum efficiency while never losing sight of the details.  Wanting to assist potential and existing homebuyers in the distressed community of Lawrence, Dawson worked with MassHousing on the creation of a customized mortgage program that we call “At Home in Lawrence.”  This program offers special loan terms designed to help inner city residents refinance and make home improvements.  She worked very closely with the MHFA to develop this program for members that otherwise might not be able to gain financing.

Rob Eydenberg, AVP Member Service Center Manager, has embodied the credit union mission during his tenure at Metro. Eydenberg has been heavily involved with Lynn Rotary, Lynn Area Chamber of Commerce and served on the ALS Committee. Rob has held multiple leadership roles at Metro and now oversees the start of the art Contact Center, embracing new technologies and expanding on existing services such as Remote Deposit Capture, Live Chat and PopMoney. Rob understands the need for technology in the credit union space and is on implementation teams for online account opening and IVR systems.
Metro President and CEO, Robert Cashman, said “Dawn and Rob are great leaders at Metro. They understand what it means to be committed to the community in which they live and work, as well as showing dedication to their roles at Metro. They deserve to be recognized for their hard work. ”
Dawson and Eydenberg received the award at the Credit Union Rising Stars Awards Breakfast before the annual Great New England Credit Union Show.
