Broadway Hosts Small Business Resource Fair

Broadway Branch In Chelsea Brings Specialists In Small Business Lending, Administration, Benefits And Other Resources

CHELSEA, Mass. (February 26, 2014) – Metro Credit Union, the largest state-chartered credit union in Massachusetts, will host a Small Business Resource Fair at its Broadway branch in Chelsea, Mass. on Tuesday, February 25, 2014, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM.  The branch is located at 365 Broadway in Chelsea.  The event is part of Metro CU’s participation in America Saves Week, which runs across the country all this week.

The Fair, which is open to all small businesses in the area, presents knowledge building and networking opportunities to address the challenges and pressures unique to small businesses today.  Attendees will have access to specialists from Metro CU as well as other professional services providers and nonprofits that support small businesses.  Some of the topics covered will be: commercial lending and lines of credit, payroll management, legal, human resources and benefits.  Participating partners include Paychex, the Small Business Administration, the law firm of Hagstrom & White, nonprofits Healthcare for ALL and SCORE.

“Small businesses, the backbone of our local and national economy, are under the same pressures felt by most working families in our community,” said Robert Cashman, Metro CU’s president.  “As we discussed ways to participate in and support America Saves Week, we realized a small business resource fair presented an opportunity to address the professional needs of an important segment of the campaign’s target audience.”
