Metro Sponsors Scholarship Program

Chelsea, Mass. (February 13, 2012) – President and CEO  Robert M. Cashman is pleased to announce that Metro Credit Union will be  participating in the 2012 Credit Union College Scholarship Program for high  school seniors through the Massachusetts Credit Union League’s Financial  Literacy Committee.

Metro Credit Union will be accepting entries from  high school seniors until Thursday, March 1st. From the entries received, Metro  Credit Union will select three essays and submit them to the statewide  competition. The League will then award six (6) $1,500 scholarships to the top  applicants in April.

The Scholarship Program is open to high school  seniors who are members of Metro Credit Union or have a parent or guardian who  is a member and will be enrolled in an undergraduate college degree program  during the 2012-2013 academic year. Each applicant must complete the scholarship  application form and submit it with other required materials to Metro Credit  Union by Thursday, March 1, 2012.
