Metro Hosts Business After Hours Event Benefiting Citizens for Adequate Housing

Chelsea, Mass. (January 4, 2012_ – In conjunction with  the Peabody Area Chamber of Commerce, Metro Credit Union hosted a Business After Hours event on December 6th. Business owners were invited to Metro’s Peabody  Branch, located at 68 Main Street, to network with one another and give back to  the community.

The event served as an opportunity to collect  donations to benefit Citizens for Adequate Housing. Citizens for Adequate Housing assists families in the North Shore area by providing services that help them avoid homelessness. Toys and monetary donations were made by the business owners in attendance and were later distributed to local families in need to  provide joy during the holiday season.

In addition to the donations provided by attending  members of the Chamber of Commerce, Metro Credit Union employees made individual donations matched by Metro for a total of $1,000. Robert M. Cashman, president and CEO of Metro Credit Union, was pleased to personally deliver the donation, stating “Metro Credit Union is founded on the principal of people helping people, and we are proud to support this deserving organization.”
