Metro Credit Union Launches Its Largest Ever Brand Campaign

Chelsea, Mass. (May 15, 2012) – Metro Credit Union, which is poised to become  the Commonwealth's largest state-chartered credit union, today announced it has  kicked off a new integrated brand campaign to build on recent growth and  showcase its appeal and uniqueness to an expanded group of potential customers  fed up with the high fees and poor service of the large, out-of-touch,  multinational banks that dominate the landscape and disappoint customers every  day.

Wrapped around the theme of “banking’s best kept secret,” the new campaign,  which breaks in print and on the radio airwaves this week, features customers  from different walks of life admitting they have kept secret the benefits they  enjoy as members.

“Our consumer research confirmed what our members have been telling us for  years, which is that Metro Credit Union members feel they are treated especially  well, and that our products can’t be beat,” said Robert M. Cashman, Metro CU's  president and chief executive officer.  "Between the expansion of our footprint  geographically the last few years, and the continuing backlash against Big Banks  for high fees and poor service, the time was right to step up our outreach to  welcome more members.”

The multi-faceted campaign, developed by Metro Credit Union with The Other Agency (www.theotheragency.com),  includes several radio spots and newspaper ads, as well as online advertising  that will keep the brand active for the remainder of the year.  The campaign  will also be visible in Metro CU’s branches, on its website and in member  communications.
