Security Alert: Text Message Scam

Beware of the following scam:

Some credit union members have reported receiving a text message similar to the ones below:

"Your Credit Union debit card has a pending alert. Call now toll free: 1-404-891-1102 and follow instructions to resolve this issue."

"Your Members Plus Credit Union debit card has a pending alert. Call now toll free:  1-781-218-3586 and follow instructions to resolve this alert."

If you receive a similar message, DO NOT respond to this message. This message is not from Metro Credit Union. At this time, Metro does not communicate with members via text message. This type of scam is considered vishing. For more information on vishing, click here.
