Metro Credit Union Donates to
the Jewish Federation of the North Shore

Platinum Visa Credit Card program provides funds to area programs and agencies

Chelsea, MA – March 15, 2010 – - In a continuing effort to fund programs that support children and young adults, Metro Credit Union donated over $10,000 to agencies and programs affiliated with the Jewish Federation of the North Shore through a Platinum Visa Card affinity program over the last five years.

The Jewish Federation of the North Shore Platinum Visa Card provides funds to over fifteen area Jewish programs and agencies affiliated with The Federation. Each time card holders make a purchase using the affinity credit card, Metro matches a portion of the purchase to contribute to the non-profit programs.

The Federation partnered with Metro to allow supporters to “Make a purchase and make a difference.” Metro donates a percentage of purchases made with the JFNS Platinum Visa Card to the agency or program of the cardholder's choice, and credits a portion of purchases back to the cardholder's account.

“The Federation provides valuable resources to the North Shore and we are honored to be a select partner,” said Robert M. Cashman, President and CEO of Metro.

This year, Metro donated $2,000 to the Jewish Federation of the North Shore through this program. Interested applicants can apply for the Jewish Federation of the North Shore Platinum Visa Card by contacting Metro Credit Union at 877-MY-METRO or by visiting www.metrocu.org.
