Felix Torres Receives Youth of the Year Award

 

Chelsea, MA – December 20, 2010- Metro President and CEO Robert M. Cashman is pleased to announce Felix Torres of the Broadway branch has been awarded the Unsung Hero: Youth of the Year Award from the Chelsea Collaborative.

Felix was nominated for the award by Broadway Branch Manager Elaine Monge. "Felix exemplifies what all Chelsea youth should aim to be," she said, adding, "Anyone that knows Felix can tell you he is a very determined young man who wants the best for other youth. He always gives 100% when helping out in the community."

The mission of the Chelsea Collaborative is to empower Chelsea people and Chelsea organizations to enhance the social, environmental, and economic health of the community and its people. They carry out their mission through community organization, program development, technical assistance and information dissemination.
