Metro Credit Union offers debt management tool

Free, anonymous web-based solution analyzes personal finances

 

Chelsea, MA –October 5, 2009 – Debt in Focus is a free, anonymous web-based debt education tool designed to help people better understand their current financial situation.  Metro Credit Union offers the program free of charge through their website at www.metrocu.org.  “You do not need to be a customer of the credit union to utilize this free service,” said Metro Credit Union president and CEO Robert M. Cashman.  “We are offering this tool free of charge so people can take the first steps toward understanding their own financial situation and the impact debt has on their financial health.”  

 

With many consumers trying to figure out ways to decrease debt and increase savings, Debt in Focus provides an easy to understand financial analysis to help people keep their finances moving in the right direction.  Through Debt in Focus, participants can obtain an entire picture of their debt and receive a personal action plan based on their budget and financial goals.  It offers the option to print detailed payment schedules, create a basic budget, and receive helpful tips based on a person’s life stage.
