Metro Credit Union Celebrates Official Grand Opening at Mass Ave Branch in Boston  

 
BOSTON, MA – July 14, 2011- Metro Credit Union recently celebrated the opening of their new branch located at 1071 Massachusetts Ave in Boston with an official ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, June 24th.
 
President and CEO Robert M. Cashman welcomed the group, followed by remarks from Boston Mayor Thomas Menino.
 
“This branch brings us closer to our members and the communities they live in," said Robert M. Cashman, President and CEO. "We are committed to providing affordable products and services to help our members achieve their financial goals. We look forward to an ongoing partnership with the city of Boston to develop new initiatives that will benefit residents and businesses in the community.”
 
Mayor Menino welcomed Metro to Boston, stating, “We’re pleased that a credit union that is so focused on the community has come to this neighborhood. We look forward to working with Metro on programs such as housing and financial literacy that will help residents who live and work in this community improve their financial well-being.”
 
The new location marks Metro’s 12th branch and is steps away from the South Bay Plaza. This branch opened for business on May 16, 2011, and provides members living in the Boston area convenient banking right at their doorstep. One of the main features of this state-of-the-art branch is a community room that will be available to local organizations for meetings and workshops.
