Metro Credit Union Partners with Lawrence Community Works
Credit Union contributes $10,000 grant to the Family Asset Building Program
Chelsea, MA – January 18, 2011- Robert M. Cashman, President and CEO of Metro Credit Union is pleased to announce that Metro will continue to partner with Lawrence Community Works as the sponsor for the Family Asset Building Program.
The Family Asset Building Program is a two year program which includes investments in an individual’s Development Account, monthly classes, and credit counseling. In addition, participants are involved in intensive training, general budgeting, financial planning, credit repair, money and family dynamics, and assessing better employment opportunities. The grant from Metro will help support the program to create economic stability for the program participants who, at the end of the program, will be prepared to purchase their first home, start a small business, or further their education.
