Metro's SMART Accounts for Teens
If you have an older child, age 13 to 17, Metro has an account to grow with your child. Our Teen SMART account offers -
- Savings Accounts. Start with just $5 and earn interest with balances of $25 or more. Your teen will pay no fee and have ATM access to their money.
- Checking Accounts. Take advantage of an account designed to help your teen manage their money. With you as a co-signer on their account, your child can access their money with checks, online, or by ATM.
- Teen Club Savings Account. Help your teen save for a special day with a 12-month Teen Club Savings account. Funds will be automatically transferred to their savings account on the maturity date.
- Certificate of Deposit. With a deposit of $250, your teen can lock in a guaranteed fixed rate for a 12-month term. Plus, we'll pay an added bonus depending on their age. If our normal CD rate is 2.00%, your 15-year-old would receive a bonus rate of 2.15%.
