A savings account is a great way for your child to start learning good savings habits. All it takes to open the account is $5 and they earn interest on balances of $25 or more.
Kids Club Savings Account
Whether it's a bike, a toy, or a gift, Metro's Kids Club Savings Account is a great way to save for something special. Money will transfer into their savings account on the date they choose.
Kids Certificate of Deposit
By starting with just $100 and saving for a year, they will earn a special rate based on their age!
Example: If the current one year CD rate is 1.00% and the child is 10 years old at the time of account opening, their rate will be 1.10%.
Banking is Fun!
For each deposit of $10 or more made at a Metro branch, kids will receive one Metro Dollar*. When they have earned $25 Metro Dollars, they'll be able to redeem them for a $10 Toys "R" Us Gift Card!
*Metro dollars are issued for regular savings accounts only and verification of deposits will be required for redemption.
