Metro's SMART Account for Kids Age 5 to 12

Teach your young children about the importance of saving and managing money with a Metro SMART Account. SMART Accounts feature -

Kids Savings Account

Starts with just a $5 minimum deposit.
Your child earns interest with $25 or more in their account.

Kids Club Savings Account. Teach your child to save for a rainy day. With just a $5 opening balance, kids can save for a special day and receive the funds when that special day arrives.

Certificate of Deposit (CD). If your child has $100 or more, they can lock into a fixed rate for a 12-month term. Plus, they'll earn a special bonus rate based on their age. For example, on a CD with a rate of 2.00%, a 5-year-old would earn a bonus rate of 2.05%.
