The Offer and Negotiating Process

Once you find a home you love you will then want to consult your realtor to make an offer on the house. Based on your pre-approval and real estate agent’s recommendations as to how much to offer, you make a fair offer on the house. The offer stage is sometimes long and tedious as some sellers come back with a counter offer, which you can accept or counter their offer at a lower price. It is the negotiating phase of the homebuying process, so make sure you are prepared with contingency plans and counter offers.
