How to Join Metro

Joining is easy.  You are eligible for membership if you live, work or have a place of business in Essex, Middlesex, Suffolk, Norfolk, Plymouth, Barnstable or Worcester counties.  You are also eligible for membership if your employer is a member of the Metro@work program.  For your convenience, there are two ways to join:

1.  Online

Join Metro and open your new account by filling out an online Membership Application.  A Member Services Representative will follow up on your application by the next business day.  Follow-up paperwork to open an online account may include:

  • Completed Membership and signature card, signed where indicated.
  • A photocopy of the front and back of your driver’s license (or other valid government issued picture identification). 

2.  Visit a Branch Office

Visit with a Member Service Representative at any of our Branch Office Locations.  They will make opening a Metro account an easy, pleasant experience.   To open an account at a branch, you must bring:

 

  • A driver’s license or other valid government issued picture identification.
  • Social Security Card (or second form of identification).
  • Cash or a check for at least $5.00 payable to Metro Credit Union.
